B.J. Penn’s war with nutritionist Mike Dolce has gone to another level and now involves lightweight Nik Lentz, who used to work with Dolce.
Penn paid Dolce $1,000 a day for 20 days to prepare him for his 2014 featherweight debut against Frankie Edgar. Edgar didn’t just defeat Penn, he sent him back to another retirement. But instead of praising “The Answer” for a superb performance, Penn went on to blame a lot of factors, including Dolce.
Penn appeared on UFC Tonightt last month and continued his beef against Dolce. But this time around, he included Nik Lentz in his rants, calling him Dolce’s “boy” and challenging him to a fight:
“I’m sick and tired of hearing about Mike Dolce. You know what Mike Dolce, I’ll put a challenge out right now — you go grab Nik Lentz, that’s your boy, bring him down to 145, I’ll run right through him in one round and then I’ll find you in the back and I’ll smash you.”
