In the past we’ve seen MMA stars like Batista, Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar and C.M. Punk among others take their acts to MMA. Batista was a failure, Punk hasn’t fought a single MMA bout, Lashley is still competing while Lesnar became UFC Heavyweight champion before returning to the WWE. The list doesn’t end there.

Bellator recently announced the addition of former Olympic Wrestling gold medalist Kurt Angle to its roster:

However, Angle isn’t fighting for Bellator- at least not yet. Instead, Kurt will be attending Bellator 145 FanFest which will be held on November 5 at Dave and Buster’s in Maryland Heights, Mo. Angle will be a special guest in the event, along with previously announced invitees Kimbo Slice, Royce Gracie, Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz. These stars will pose for photos and sign autographs for Bellator Nation member fans.

But is that it for Angle and Bellator? Apparently, yes.

Prior to the Bellator announcement, Angle and another former UFC champion who last fought for Bellator, Ken Shamrock teased fans with their tweets:

Many People insinuated that Bellator was brewing a Ken Shamrock vs Kurt Angle fight for Bellator 145 on November 6. But as the event fight line-up was slowly filled up, there was no Shamrock vs. Angle. Thank goodness, Bellator saved MMA from turning to a circus.

Remember that it booked Shamrock vs Kimbo Slice last June 19? That was a bust.
