Deontay-Wilder

WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder has been hailed as the next great American boxing heavyweight. And why not? He is the first American Heavyweight boxing champion since Shannon Briggs in 2007.

Known as the Bronze Bomber for his semifinal finish in the 2008 Olympics, Wilder owns a 97.1% KO ratio as a pro with 34 knockouts in 35 wins. Just take a look at this highlight video:

Despite the impressive winning record, Wilder has been criticized for the quality ( or lack thereof) of his opponents. But if Wilder still receives a lot of criticism inside the ring, nobody questions him outside of it.

Wilder’s daughter Naieya suffers from spina bfida and his entire boxing career has been dedicated to support her. Deontay’s only brother Marcellus, an aspiring boxer himself, has been assisting him since he started his boxing career. Now Deontay wanted to give his brother a car as a token of his gratitude and he wanted to do it in a way that would surprise him.
